Gest Film was founded in 2016 under the name Gestus Film Productions. The company’s first project was a critically acclaimed fictional short film dedicated to director Abbas Kiarostami. The company, which has produced many award-winning fictional short films, music videos and documentaries for five years, shot its first feature film called Unfruitful Times, an international co-production between Turkey, Italy and North Macedonia, in 2022. Unfruitful Times is planned to be released in 2024.

Gest Film focuses on the development and production of artistically challenging international feature films, documentaries, TV series and fictional short films. The company aims to position itself as an international talent hub based in Istanbul-Turkey, and to produce new contents and works focusing on social issues in various formats and genres.

Gest Film is simultaneously working on new feature-length fiction films, documentaries, TV series and short films with its talented team members who specialize in different departments of film production; is looking for bright, new ideas and aims to implement existing projects with an innovative approach.
